Packet Flow Processing

Well, One of the first thing to troubleshoot and manage a Device is to understand the internal packet flow processing. Each manufacturer has a solution to deal with packet flow processing and (multi)core affinity. I think that a good technician must understand the manufacturer solution because he can affect to the device performance.  Due the lot of security modules (IPS, firewall, AV, ....)  a flow must traverse thru   you should be conscious of the solution.
